Die Ausstellung ist als Experiment konzipiert: Bedeutende Arbeiten bekannter wie weniger bekannter K\u00fcnstler*innen unterstreichen die Freiheit der Kunst, die seismografisch die Themen der Zeit ersp\u00fcrt und im Sinne einer offenen Gesellschaft bestehende Barrieren \u00fcberwindet. Zu den vertretenen K\u00fcnstler*innen z\u00e4hlen Tacita Dean, Tracy Emin, F\u00e9lix Gonz\u00e1lez-Torres, Mona Hatoum, Eberhard Havekost, Olaf Holzapfel, Roni Horn, Jacqueline Merz, Carsten Nicolai, Thomas Ruff und Wolfgang Tillmans. In der Ausstellung wird der Blick in die Zukunft auf der Grundlage j\u00fcngst erworbener Sammlungshighlights erfolgen, zu denen wichtige Arbeiten aus der Stiftung G\u00fcnther und Annemarie Gercken z\u00e4hlen.
