The Stage Before the Audience.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Did a stage ever exist before there was an audience? Or was the audience, historically speaking, there before the stage?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This inversion of what seems self-evident poses an impossible question and opens up new perspectives. Perhaps such a stage never existed\u2014a theater without spectators is, after all, a paradox. Yet, precisely this thought creates a space for imagination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is a stage without an audience an abstract concept, an architectural space, a sculptural form, or a literary construct? By reversing and re-examining these ideas, new possibilities and interpretations emerge.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

For this exhibition, Antoine Waterkeyn enters into dialogue with Olaf Holzapfel, Frank JMA Castelyns, Suchan Kinoshita, Julla Kroner & Yoni Hong, Devrim Lingnau, Jana Rippmann, Helmut Stallaerts, Mitja Tu\u0161ek, Sebastian Volz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
