The chaotic nature of the haystack finds its counterpart in the ordered structure of Olaf Holzapfel's work Lichtbild 2/1 Stoff (2013). Here, too, the yields of the field serve as the artistic starting point. Holzapfel's hay and straw pieces Schattenbild – Rotes Kreuz (2011) and Pyramide (2017) possess a strong presence in the space as scented objects and question agriculture as an aesthetic framework.
